Built in July 2014 and inaugurated on November 15th, 2014, in the presence of the deputy Mr Jean-Claude Perez and of Mr Robert Alric from the General Coucil of the Aude, the City Stadium of Floure had several objectives.

First, to restructure the existing sports space. Indeed, a tennis court was there, but this equipment was little used and ageing.

The City Stadium improves the amount of sports on offer since a dozen sports can now be practiced: football, handball, basketball, hockey on grass, volleyball, tennis, badminton, etc.

Its dimensions are 32 meters long and 17 meters wide.

A board allows everyone to understand, all the different lines drawn, on the synthetic grass.

Finally, it is important to note that two Flouréen teenagers participated in the construction of the equipment. A contract was signed between the municipality of Floure and the Agorespace company. Julie Gach and Arthur Benoit carried out the assembly of the structure.

On Saturday of April 11th, 2015, the first official sports event took place on the synthetic field: the civic and educational tournament of Floure, sponsored by the former professional football player Christophe Landrin. More than 1 200 people were present for this event.

The stadium is used mainly for football . Its dimensions only allow a maximum of 8 players per team.

However, events of rugby at 13, but also events such as the arrival of a circus or some shows have already occurred in the past.


250 young people from 10 to 15 years old walked the lawn of the Floure field, on Saturday the 11th of April, 2015, during the 1st civic and educational tournament.
